Mike is a classically trained artist.

 

I attended Loughborough Collage of art and the London Atelier of Representational Art.

 

Having recently retired as a lecturer at the Glasgow School of Art I  am now based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.

I work from life, mainly in oils and occasionally in Watercolour, Pastel and Charcoal.

​

Although my work is varied, I  prefer to paint Idea's rather than things with Inspiration taken from Nature, the land and folklore.
